Buying Excess Inventory at Metal Suppliers Online – It’s Powerful & FREE

Now, through MSO, when you’re searching for a specific metal to purchase, you are automatically notified when a supplier has exactly what you are looking for. On MSO you also can search the database for excess inventory stock based on the metal family, grade and form. It’s that easy.

Register with Metal Suppliers Online
In our initial registration, we’ll ask for your basic company information. Note: All of your registration data is protected under our Privacy Policy.

Go to the MSO Excess Inventory
Under the "BUY" tab on the website click on "excess inventory". This will bring you to mso excess - select a family. From here follow the three steps to choose a metal family, grade and form to search for the product that you require. We’ll show you every supplier that stocks that material as excess inventory.
View Available Excess Inventory

To view details on a listing, click the "magnifying glass" icon. If at this point you have additional questions for the supplier, you may contact them using the email address in the contact information area. Please be aware that any suppliers you may contact through MSO have agreed to MSO's terms and conditions, specifically not to arrange transactions outside of the MSO domain.

If there are no excess inventory items that match your criteria, you may proceed to the MSO Exchange by clicking the "next" button. This will forward you to a list of suppliers who carry the material you required.

Indicate the Number of Lots You Will be Purchasing
At "buy excess-purchase amount" indicate the quantity you require, if the inventory can be split into lots. Some sellers will only sell full lots.
Indicate Shipping Destination
At "mso exchange-shipping destination", choose either an existing destination, or create a new shipping destination. You may edit the existing destination by clicking on the "edit" button or create a new destination by filling in the appropriate fields. Click the "next" button to continue.
Choose a Payment Method

At "buy excess-choose payment type" choose any one of the acceptable payment methods listed. Click "next" to continue.

Confirm Your Order
At "buy excess-confirm order" you have the ability to edit any information pertaining to your order. Click on the "edit" button in the gray header relating to any information you need to edit. Click "cancel" to halt the order and "submit" to place the order.
What Happens Once Your Order Has Been Placed
After placing your order you will be contacted by a MSO Metal Market Maker to confirm and process the transaction.
